Burlington,
NJ November 20, 2007--- Infraspection Institute is pleased
to announce the availability of several thermography
training courses for users of Fluke and Infrared Solutions
thermal imaging systems. Available through Infraspection’s
Distance Learning program, these courses provide several
training options in the wake of Fluke’s recent
announcement to discontinue its infrared training.
According
to Senior Product Manager Michael Stuart, Fluke Corporation
will no longer provide training courses that have been
offered to purchasers of its Ti 30 thermal imagers.
Lack of customer interest was cited as the primary reason
for this decision.
According
to Jim Seffrin, Director of Infraspection Institute,
“One of the greatest obstacles to training programs
is lack of time and the high costs associated with travel.
With our Distance Learning Thermography Courses, students
can take their infrared training wherever and whenever
it's convenient. All courses are taught by Infraspection
Institute Level 3 Certified Infrared Thermographers®,
each having over 20 years of professional experience.”
Perry
Cabrera, Sales Manager of Infraspection notes, “With
our Distance Learning program, students have several
training choices. We offer both Level I and Level II
training courses as well as several industry-specific
courses. Camera-specific courses may be purchased individually
or as part of an applications course. All courses cover
infrared theory, heat transfer concepts, inspection
procedures, safety, and preparing standards-compliant
reports.”
Students who successfully complete
32 hours of Distance Learning are eligible to take the
Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer®
Exam. This exam is offered at no charge at the end of
all Infraspection open enrollment classes and at the
annual IR/INFO Conference. For a fee, the exam may also
be taken by appointment at authorized testing centers
or via a secure video link.
